Happy Monday loves! Hope you had a great weekend. Ours was pretty eventful! Saturday, we spent the day exploring Georgetown and all the pretty fall decor. In Wednesday's post, I'll share more snaps from our day there! It's really only about 30-40 minutes from our house and we had such a blast there. Definitely the perfect spot to visit if you're ever in DC during fall! Sunday, we grabbed brunch with my bestie and her boyfriend and spent the day watching football/hanging out with them. I've said this a million times, but it's so nice living close to her again! The rest of the night, I got a little head start on packing because we leave for Vermont on Wednesday and I am SO excited. If you want to follow along on our trip, make sure you're following me on Instagram!
While I do love coffee, I'm more of a tea gal and Chai tea is definitely my go-to. While Starbucks Chai is definitely the most accessible, my favorites are the ones from local coffee shops or even Whole Foods! However, to save money, I've been trying to make them at home or at my office more often. You definitely can leave the pumpkin part out (though this recipe keeps it pretty subtle) and it still tastes just as yummy!
Ingredients:
Vanilla Almond Milk (About 1/4 cup) or any other milk alternative
Two options: Trader Joe's Spice Chai or Tazo Chai (both are the tea bags)
[Note: If you prefer it to be sweeter, you can use the Chai Latte Concentrate but it's too sweet/artificial tasting for my liking]
1 or 1 1/2 cup of water
Trader Joe's Pumpkin Pie Spice
-Heat water on stove top or in microwave.
-Add in Chai Tea bag and allow to steep for 1-2 minutes.
-Pour into your mug and top it with your almond milk.
[If you have a milk frother, I would recommend frothing your milk but it still tastes great without. You could also add some whipped cream at this point]
-Add a dash of the pumpkin pie spice on top.
Enjoy!!
Yummo! I cannot wait to try this!
