Our Annual Fall Bucket List

Happy Monday loves! Hope you had a great weekend. I wanted ours to be super relaxing after our NYC weekend & such a long week at work and that's exactly what it was! I'm feeling super refreshed today.

Even though it's going to be about 90 degrees here today, it definitely is feeling like fall is in full swing with fall decor out at all the stores and the cooler/darker mornings. Fall is my FAVORITE time of year as I'm sure it is for every other girl and today I wanted to share some of our favorite fall activities.

1.) Take a weekend trip or even just a drive into the mountains for leaf peeping! This has become a tradition for us over the last couple of years to take a long weekend trip usually in October for leaf peeping and relaxation. Last year was so great because we were living in New England and we took a long weekend to go to the Berkshires! It was the best experience and it was so nice that it was only a few hours drive from home. This year we are making our way up to Vermont.

2.) Pumpkin pickin' + cider sippin'. I mean...obviously! This is my favorite fall activity and I'm so excited to be living back close to home because I know where all the good pumpkin patches are. There is one up in the mountains not too far from our house so I can't wait to make our way up there since Steven has never been! This place has hayrides, cider donuts, and gorgeous fall scenery--basically everything you could ask for.

3.) Once we get our pumpkins we always have a little bit of a carving competition which I guess also counts as another bucket list item!

4.) Go to a football game! Since we both went to Clemson, we're obviously big football people. For Steven, he actually loves watching the sport but for me it's just an excuse to get dressed up in orange and tailgate. I'm hoping we can make it to a game this year because it has been a couple years since we went to one! We also could always buy tickets for a Redskins game but I don't know if we want to put ourselves through that kind of misery.

5.) Have a "fall-themed" movie marathon. We do this absolutely every year! We have a lot of movies we like to watch together but then there are ones that I LOVE and even though he's not super into them, I still watch them on my own. A few we watch together are Hocus Pocus, St. Elmo's Fire, Halloween, The Princess Bride (not super fall-themed but we love it), Ghostbusters, Scream, etc. MY personal favorites are Practical Magic & Little Women (my two favorite movies of all time), When Harry Met Sally, & The Craft.

6.) Make a pie or any other fall-themed treats. My personal favorite to make is some kind of pumpkin or apple/cinnamon loaf. I'm definitely the queen of loaves when it comes to my baking abilities!

7.) Light a fall-scented candle and read a good book. While I love being outside during the fall season, there are some days where you just want to cozy up inside with a book and light your favorite fall candle. My personal favorite candles are White Pumpkin and Leaves from Bath & Body Works. What are your favorites?

Hope y'all enjoyed today's post and that it gave you some fall-inspiration!

  2. Such a perfect bucket list for fall! We missed out on picking pumpkins last fall so hoping we can do it this year. We had planned to do it this coming weekend, but it just doesn't seem right when the temperatures are in the 90s haha! Happy Monday!
