Happy Monday friends! Hope you had a great weekend. I actually spent mine in Maryland so it was nice to be home for a few days! I am pretty exhausted from the travel because I was there for such a short time and flights were pretty expensive so I ended up taking the train. I took the Acela for the first time and let me tell you--always splurge for the Acela haha!
Sound Bites (Somerville)
If you want really good food for relatively cheap
This restaurant was recommended to us by friends and it actually is very close to where we live! You can't make reservations but they turn tables really quickly and we hardly had to wait when we went. They have a really big menu and I got their Belgian waffles which were AMAZING. Food in Boston is pretty expensive and I found this place to be one of the cheapest meals we've had here! Steven highly recommends their Bloody Mary.
The Paramount (Beacon Hill)
If you want the BEST French Toast and aren't worried about a trendy atmosphere
This is a great spot right in Beacon Hill so if you're planning on exploring the Garden or snapping pictures on Acorn Street, you should definitely try to stop in The Paramount for brunch. One downside is that they don't take reservations and seating is very limited but it's definitely worth the wait! When my best friend, Kate, visited it was the perfect time to go because it was during the week and relatively early. Y'all--I got their French toast which I think had cinnamon, nutella, strawberries and bananas on top and it was the best French toast I've ever had!
Frenchie (South End)
If you want cute pictures and love French food
I am a huge fan of French food--especially the breakfast options/pastries. This was such an adorable little spot with floral wallpaper and a really pretty sun-room area which is where we were seated. I ordered the crepes and a mimosa and they were both fantastic! I took my two best friends when they were visiting and I think this is a perfect spot to stop on a weekend with your gal pals. You can explore the South End after which is such a cute area!
Southern Kin Cookhouse (Somerville)
If you want A LOT of carbs and a good liquor drink
We have probably frequented this spot the most of the ones on this list and it never disappoints. In true Southern fashion, you will get a TON of food for your money and it's all delicious. Think homemade biscuits and a lot of fried options! If you're on a strict diet...I probably wouldn't add this one to your list. They also have a lot of cool drink options so if you're in the mood to booze it up, this would be a great spot for you!
Tatte (Locations all over Boston)
If you want cute pictures and a coffee drink to go
I'm sure if you've ever been to Boston or have planned a trip there, you've been recommended to stop by Tatte or you've just seen one when you've been exploring. There are a bunch of locations and each one is absolutely adorable! I like that they offer sit-down meal options but you can also just grab a pastry and an espresso drink to go. I've been to a few different locations and my personal favorite is the one in the Seaport which I think may be the newest spot. Their avocado toast is my go-to order and it is DELICIOUS!
Pier 6 (Charlestown)
If you want a GORGEOUS view of the city
I will say that I'm not OBSESSED with the food at this place although it is very good. The main reason you want to go here is for the view of the city! It's right on a pier (hence the name) in Charlestown and you basically get a view of the entire skyline. It has a really fun bar scene too on a warm day! I would recommend this place if you're visiting during summer/early fall so that you can sit out on their rooftop area for the full effect.
Hope y'all enjoyed this post and found it useful if you're in Boston or planning to visit soon!

We loved our time in Boston when we visited but it was too short! Would love to go back and try one of these spots! We did go to Tatte though and LOVED it.
